Mimi Yang focuses on cultural studies theories in research and writing. She has published on a wide range of themes related to race and gender in the U.S.—Americanism, women’s suffrage movement, horizontal democracy, Chinese Americans, and Hispanic Americans among others. Her publications have gained traction in the U.S. and internationally. She is the author of the book Tri-Cultural Personality (Chinese, English and Hispanic): a Paradigm Connecting Cultures(Edwin Mellen, 2014). Mimi Yang is Professor Emerita at Carthage College and a regular contributor to the Commentary Column in the Kenosha News.
