Laura Soréna Tittel is a research associate at the chair of Political Theory and History of Ideas at Justus Liebig University Giessen. She is part of the research team in the subproject Between Minority Protection and Securitization: Roma Minority Formation in Modern European History at the Collaborative Research Centre/Transregio 138 Dynamics of Security, funded by the German Research Foundation. Her PhD project examines the relationship between securitization, ‘racial’ conceptualizations, and imagination to formulate a political theory of antiziganism. She has studied European Politics, History, and Law (BA) at Osnabrück University and Political Theory (MA) at Goethe University Frankfurt, TU Darmstadt, and Virginia Tech.
