Kath Woodward is Emeritus Professor of Sociology at Open University. She researches sexual politics and inequalities, especially in the field of sport, and sociocultural critical approaches, for example, feminist phenomenological and psychosocial theories. She has written books and articles on boxing and masculinities and made several films, including A Bloody Canvas, on boxing and art. She curated the Olympic Museum exhibition Chasing Time in 2014. Her work includes discussion of representational processes which mediate experience, with The Politics of In/Visibility in 2015 being the most relevant here.
